The RESET BUTTON to Life
What's happening?
Do we have to call it a disaster? A killer? A threat? A teacher no one has ever got? Or a better way of living life?
I really cannot believe how something can be so cruel and so good all at the same time. The world is restless now, the economy is crashing, companies which made employees work overtime are now requesting everyone to be at home, families are finally getting some time together. There are no unwanted gathering, no parties, no extravagant weddings, malls and theatres are abandoned, now it's just one place we can trust, OUR HOME.
We have given up our laziness and started walking to nearby places to get our daily needs and food. Finally, we have stopped relying on Swiggy and Ola because it's hard to trust anyone/anything being safe. Adding to it, Indian railways has confessed that they don't wash their blankets after every trip so not to use them (People started speaking the truth 😂). We have started to be very cautious about the hygiene of public places and transport. We see masks, awareness to wash hands and hand sanitizers everywhere.
And the best thing is...
The roads are free, fewer planes flying around the world, the air quality is improving, air pollution emissions like nitrogen dioxide are said to have shown dramatically reduction.
If fear is the best teacher, the corona has got us all!
Now I really doubt this pandemic karma! sorry, corona*!! How can it be this perfectly structured? No, it's not affecting innocent animals, it's not affecting humans who are hygienic, it's not affecting kids who are too new to have contributed much damage to the earth, it's not affecting people who follow government orders and quarantine themselves. From a medical perspective, it affects people with bad respiratory problems (probably smoking). But what if we see beyond that?
Are we paying for the damages we have caused?
Or the way we are living our lives in this materialistic world?
Are we paying for not utilising the natural resources properly?
Are we paying for not taking climate change seriously?
Or is this all just mere coincidence?
Imagine if the corona is portrayed as a person like "Anniyan" (Tamil movie character) in an international movie who is concerned about cleanliness, following government rules, being human to all living beings, polluting less, properly sharing available resources. We might have considered him our hero! But now it's not possible because we are the victims and villains of the movie.
If we take this as a warning and live life the corona way with the same cautiousness to circumspect the planet, we can try our best to make up for all the things we have caused.
